About the company
Established in 1987, Glenisk has been producing dairy products from the centre of Ireland for over 30 years. The company works with small family farms to source the finest organic cows' and goats milk for their award-winning range of yoghurts. They produce a vast range of dairy products including organic Greek style yoghurt, bio-organic, high protein, and organic kids yoghurt. The company also produce baby fromage frais, various flavours of goats yoghurts alongside goats' milk and lastly, organic milk, fresh cream and crème fraiche.
The member adds that as they have evolved through the years their principles haven't changed, noting their 10 commitments namely producing tasty products, remaining organic, providing nutrition in their products, use 100% recyclable packaging, quality, supporting the community, reward employees, protect the climate, support farmers, and protect animal welfare. Glenisk supply their products to the UK, continental Europe, Middle East, and Asia and also produce private label products for a number of international brands and retailers.
Key Sustainability Commitments
Glenisk is targeting to plant 70,000 trees over their five-year plan. To date the member has increased the number of trees planted by 126% from projected baseline in 2021 to 2022 exceeding their milestone for 2022 by over 100% whilst also exceeding future milestones. The member's staff were involved with the tree planting and they are going to begin planting at their first allotment on site in 2023 with the aim of being able to source fresh fruit and vegetables. The member further aims to develop and extend the allotment in the future.
