As a food manufacturer, Blenders creates world class sauces with great taste and high convenience for their customer's needs. Founded more than 30 years ago, the family-run business has grown to be a key sauce manufacturer in Ireland and built a dedicated, experienced, and loyal team around them.
Built on the values of respect, growth, delivering value, and doing things the one best way, Blenders aim to deliver their extensive product ranges of over 100 product lines to chefs and caterers as well as households throughout Ireland, the UK, and Europe. Now, their sauces come in many different shapes and sizes, to cater for all the needs of their diverse customer base.
Key Sustainability Commitments
After revising their initial goals on energy and emissions due to exceeding their targets in 2021, Blenders have again exceeded expectations in 2022. They've successfully improved their energy usage to be 30.5% more efficient per case
of products produced, compared to their 2020 baseline. This exemplary performance achieved diligent delivery of five energy-related sustainability initiatives.
After adopting their energy-conservation strategies, Blenders not only
enhanced their energy efficiency, leading to a reduction in carbon emissions
per case of sauce manufactured, but also heightened employee consciousness
and expertise to facilitate continued progress in energy sustainability.
By combining this approach with enhanced logical production planning and expanded training programmes for their production team - all without compromising product safety and quality - they have achieved notable improvements in their energy efficiency.
