Key Sustainability Commitments
Raw Materials:
At Ballymaguire Foods, sustainability begins with responsible sourcing. We are committed to ensuring our beef and lamb suppliers maintain levels of SBLAS certification, fostering transparency and sustainability in our supply chain. Additionally, we are prioritising supplier sustainability certifications for our top ingredients/packaging suppliers, promoting responsible sourcing and environmentally conscious packaging choices.
Manufacturing:
In our manufacturing processes, we actively pursue environmental responsibility, including mindful energy usage to reduce our carbon footprint. We are equally committed to lowering water intensity by 16%, minimising food waste, and lowering Scope 1 & 2 emissions, ensuring sustainability is ingrained in our operations.
Social Sustainability:
Beyond our products, we are dedicated to societal well-being. Our initiatives include; promoting diversity and inclusion within the business, prioritising upskilling for our workforce, supporting sports clubs and charities, partnering with FoodCloud and local food banks to provide nutritious meals to those in need, providing valuable work experience to students, and partnering with TU Dublin to help provide students with world-class learning facilities and opportunities for the generations to come.
