Ice Cream Treats is a Cavan-based manufacturer of award-winning luxury ice cream.
The company was established in February 2013 and uses only the best ingredients and
Irish dairy to create a delicious range of ice cream and frozen yogurt for the retail and
food service sectors.
Since its inception in 2013, the company has gone from a start-up to an innovative
and growing business which has expanded into international markets including UK
foodservice, Europe and the Far East.
Key Sustainability Commitments
Spotlight Target Area: Packaging
One of the member's Origin Green commitments is to reduce the amount of product packaging (cardboard kilogramme /per unit of output by 25% by 2022. In 2022 they exceeded their milestone by 16.6% successfully reducing their cardboard packaging. The member has completed all planned initiatives to achieve this target including working with customers to review packaging design to reduce the amount of cardboard used.
