Meat Industry Ireland
Meat Industry Ireland (MII) represents the primary beef, pork and lamb processing facilities located in the Republic of Ireland. 
The meat sector in Ireland, from farm through to processing and export, is one of the most important indigenous industries in the national economy. It supports in excess of 120,000 individual farmers and generates total sales of > €4.5bn, with 2020 exports of approximately €3bn.
MII promotes the Irish primary meat processing sector by interfacing on behalf of its members with government departments, state agencies, European institutions, and other stakeholders across the sector. MII provides a forum to allow the industry to address complex environmental legislation at factory level.

Committed to the success of its members as sustainable meat processors, MII advocates for its members on policy and regulation formation and implementation to ensure that industry competitiveness is sustainably enhanced. MII is driven to cultivate reasonable business conditions that enable its members to prosper.
MII ensures its members are briefed on up-to-date information on all technical, legislative developments and policy changes that may affect the meat industry.
Through engagements with national, EU and international policymakers, they are centrally placed to be the authoritative voice on the meat processing industry in Ireland, advocating to secure policy, regulatory and trading conditions that will enable members to achieve its strategic and commercial objectives.
MII contributes to the competitiveness of the meat processing industry through its membership of trade associations including The European Livestock and Meat Trades Union (UECBV) and The Liaison Centre for the Meat Processing Industry in the European Union (CLITRAVI).
